This blog aims to give some insight into how innovation for carbon reduction comes about in Local Authorities. Having written detailed Learning histories of 5 well-known examples of low carbon innovation in Local Government, researchers at the University of Bath then got together in a workshop setting with some 30 Local Authority practitioners in Feb 2008 to hear what they had to say. This blog charts some of the research findings together with what we created together at that workshop. We call it a 'joint learning history'. The hope is that it will be helpful not just to those in Local Authorities, but to anyone seeking to innovate and bring about change that will help decarbonise our society. Read more...
