Policy to Practice Seminar – Bristol
Yvette Cooper's Ministerial statement on 8th June announced that the DCLG (formally ODPM) will be reminding all Local Planning Associations that the Government "expects" them to develop positive planning policies for onsite renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions in all new major developments.
The unique Policy to Practice Seminars, in conjunction with Regional Development Agencies, solarcentury, Sharp UK and the Town and Country Planning Association, provide information to help local authorities and the building services industry understand these latest renewable energy policies, project planning and delivery techniques. Specific case studies will be used to share best practice methods for delivering carbon reductions in the built environment from renewable energy and to help implement this policy, known as The Merton Rule.
