“The South East Renewable Energy Conference is a crucial step for the sustainable development of our region”, John Thorp, Director, ecsc.

Every year this major Conference drives renewable energy development in the region.  This year delegates will take away with them proven strategies to overcome the barriers and address four key issues that are crucial for us all to meet local and regional targets and to take advantage of the economic, social and environmental benefits and opportunities that renewable energy could bring to the South East region:

1. Finance and Investment
2. Community Engagement and Involvement
3. Spatial Planning
4. Technologies and Technical Issues

What we need to do, inspiring examples and solutions for how barriers can be overcome will be discussed by expert speakers and demonstrated through practical workshops .  The exhibition will display the latest technologies and will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the manufacturers to learn about new developments and techniques.

The South East Renewables Conference 2006 will be held over two days and will consist of a mix of inspiring presentations and practical workshops.
